ILBA Profile

In this era Internet has become necessary in our work and E-commerce has become a trend in the shipping world. To follow this trend, ShippingChina.com launched International Logistics Business Alliance (ILBA) at the end of 2006. ILBA forms a truly global network to help all members’ business better everywhere on earth. It is built up on the advanced e-commerce platform to establish vertical network covering ship owners, ship agents, shippers, freight forwarders and ports. After development over the past three years, ILBA now has 876 members from 79 countries.

To stimulate better communication among members, ILBA has its annual conference called Global Shipping Summit (GSS). Over the past three years, 1,500 shipping managing people from all over the world attended GSS in China. In 2008, the 3rd GSS was successfully held on Nov. 7th-9th in Dalian to explore the “New New Pattern” of the shipping industry. Over 600 senior shipping managers from more than 30 countries attend “2008 3rd Global Shipping Summit” to discuss the way out for the shipping industry in this situation of financial crisis. The 3rd GSS also helped various enterprises establish cooperation partnerships. For more details, visit the website: http://gss2008.shippingchina.com/en/ for more details.
